I am a singing teacher at London Oriana Choir and a Peripatetic Singing Teacher at St Marylebone CE School. I am also a private music tutor.
I work with all ages, providing individually tailored singing lessons. Working 1-2-1 with students of primary and secondary age has given me excellent time keeping skills and the ability to develop a rapport with all age groups. I am able to teach music theory, aural skills and general musicianship alongside singing to give the pupil a well-rounded and informed approach to their studies. I believe it is important to encourage each student’s love of music; and am able to work towards graded exams, as well as explore the vocal repertoire with those who would like to purse lessons on a relaxed basis. My students have won various music competitions and music scholarships, most recently one of my students has gained a place at the Royal College of Music Junior Department and another, a place at Sylvia Young Theatre School. During lessons I feel it is very important to build a strong foundation on which to work with, focusing on breathing, diction and various other technical aspects of singing. I am able to work with a varying range of abilities, with the aim to support, advise and help each of my students improve and enjoy singing!
